what is “homebrewed”

this honestly started as a passion project and a hobby to save money with the rising cost of film and film developing, on average $25-30 for developing and hi res scans. after working at a few film labs & developing and scanning my own film for over a year, i started to work on friends and friends of friends film and homebrewed was born.

why homebrewed???

i understand that it can be hard to trust the new guy with your precious memories but i handle everyone’s film as if it were my own. using fresh chemicals every 20 rolls, offering hi res scans at no extra charge and having the fastest turnaround in the area, about one day for those keeping record.

side note but chemicals are properly disposed of and our packaging is recycled so that i can be as environmentally safe as possible.

who is homebrewed?

homebrewed is alexander kilpatrick but sometimes my lovely partner, noelisa, and our 2 cats, blossom and peach - depending on the day haha

ps, your film scans will not have cat hair or teeth marks, i promise

where can i get my film developed?

at the moment, i have 2 options;

1) you can drop off with the fabulous stellar records 7 days a week: sun - tues from 12p - 5p or weds - sat from 11a - 6pm

2) i am finally set up to accept mail in orders;

what’s the plan?

in the next year or so, i would love to have a location of my own and to continue supporting those who have supported me on this journey. however, in the meantime, i would love to arrange camera swaps, photowalks and just hangouts to form a community.
